The reason att is involved in this is because all apps have to be approved by apple.

| Re: How about some Verizon Love!! If you bothered to look at the link you supplied you would notice that there are not any Verizon phones listed that will work. When I try to load the player from my phone it says that my phone is not supported. I would think it is more of a Verizon issue than a RIMM issue since BB phones from At@T and T-Mobile seem to work. --

| Re: How about some Verizon Love!! It definitely looks like CDMA devices aren't supported (which would be the reason no VZW or Sprint branded BBs are listed). That seems odd to me, but I guess it could be VZW and Sprint blocking the app.
I don't understand why the app wouldn't install though, unless it's actually checking the branding version of your phone, not the OS version/hardware.

it would bother me if I worked on the sling app and at&t all of the sudden said I changed it to make it work on 3g. It was at&t's stupid anticompetitive decision no one else's. and this just confirms they are trying to cover their asses.

| Baffled I'm just baffled by this. ATT usually runs around claiming that they have nothing to do with approval process or any effects or input on apps in the app store or how they run on the iphone. They are always saying ask apple why x app doesnt work with Y or why Z app isnt on the store. And now they are saying that they worked with an iphone app producer to get it approved for ATT to allow? What other phone/phone company does this? How can this company and the itoy be worth 110 dollars a month with this kind of crap going on?
Blatant lying to the consumer used to mean something, but when the bright shiny itoy is flashed around the clueless consumer follows along like a pig to the slaughter.
How many of you pay 110 dollars a month for this kind of experience?

| Update: Sling actually did work with AT&T UPDATE: It seems that SlingMedia did, in fact, work with AT&T on getting this approved after all. Apparently while no code changes to the streaming portion of the application was changed due to AT&Ts requests, Sling did update it during continued development. AT&T later approved the application on their network for usage on iPhone devices.
